Are you an Atlanta area Native?
No, I am originally from Nashville, Tennessee, where much of my family still lives, today. I relocated to the Atlanta area for career opportunity, in October of 2000.
In what areas is your business primarily focused?
My Real Estate business primarily focuses on the West/NW/SW Metro Atlanta area, beginning in Midtown Atlanta and running west, through Fulton, Cobb, Douglas and Paulding Counties. This area includes Midtown, Vinings, Smyrna, Marietta, Mableton, Austell, Powder Springs, Hiram, Douglasville, Villa Rica, Lithia Springs, Fairburn, Chattahoochee Hills, College Park, East Point, and Hapeville.
What is your experience in these areas?
For the past 19 years I have watched the city grow and change, while learning much about the area market, growth trends, and development. I watched Atlantic Station rise from dirt, witnessed the Atlanta skyline change as the number of Midtown high-rises has doubled since I arrived. I moved to Sandy Springs in 2002,and then to Dunwoody in 2003, where I became intimately familiar with crazy traffic on the I-285 northern Perimeter and GA 400's. I quickly became a friend of commuting into Midtown and Downtown with MARTA, from the North Springs and Chamblee stations. In 2004 I changed the pace, moving into the Riverside intown neighborhood of NW Atlanta, where I spent the next 14 years watching the property values plummet in the recession and then explode afterwards. I closely studied the market and participated in community leadership activities to help influence growth and development. Then, in 2017, I moved to my current home west of the city, in the Douglasville area, on a larger property in a quiet neighborhood.
What types of properties do you primarily work?
Single Family Homes, Condominiums, and Investment Properties are my focus. I have personal experience with HGTV-styled renovations, and great relationships with General Contractors, Painters, Plumbers, Electricians, etc. I enjoy identifying older, distressed, neglected properties that have great potential, to rejuvenate and sell for profit, or to hold in a rental portfolio.
Do you work with Rentals?
I don't currently work with rentals, and often ask "Why rent when you can probably own?". I work with programs "Lease with Option to Purchase" programs, for qualified persons, that allows for continuing to save money, work on credit and paying down debts to become qualified for a mortgage and purchase the home at a future time.
